Learn the foundations of herbal first aid and how to use common medicinal plants in everyday emergencies. In this class, we will explore easily accessible “weeds” and other essential herbs that can support cuts, stings, bites, burns, inflammation, and other minor first aid situations. We will cover plant identification, materia medica, and practical examples of how these herbs are traditionally used.
Participants will also create an herbal preparation to take home and add to their own apothecary or first aid kit. Depending on what is available to harvest, we will make a plantain succus, a healing salve, or both.
